This guide explains how custom and private-label bags move from first inquiry to delivery, including MOQ, sampling, payment, production lead time, trade terms and shipping. If anything is unclear, email info@fmosbag.com or message us on WhatsApp.
How to Order Custom Bags
- Send your inquiry: share your design, tech pack, photos or a reference sample, with quantity and target market.
- Confirm the quote: we confirm materials, hardware, colors, logo method and unit price.
- Approve a sample: we make a pre-production sample so you check quality before any bulk run.
- Pay deposit: a 30% T/T deposit starts production.
- Production and QC: bags are made and inspected; photos, your own visit or a third-party inspection are welcome.
- Balance and ship: the 70% balance is paid before shipment, then we hand the goods to your forwarder or ours.
Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)
MOQ depends on how complex the bag is:
- Simple, standard styles: from 100 pieces per color or design.
- Complex styles with custom structures, tooling, special materials or many parts: around 300 pieces.
If your first order is smaller, tell us your plan. We work with new brands on workable trial quantities whenever we can.
Sampling and Sample Fees
- In-stock or ready samples: no sample fee, you only cover the courier cost.
- Custom samples that need design work, patterns or new tooling: a sample fee applies, and it is fully refunded once you place the bulk order.
- Sample lead time: about 3 working days for simple or in-stock samples, and 5 to 7 working days for custom samples that need pattern-making or design work.
Payment Terms
- Bulk orders: 30% T/T deposit to start, 70% balance before shipment.
- Samples and small orders: PayPal or Western Union are accepted.
The full schedule is confirmed on the proforma invoice before production starts.
Trade Terms (Incoterms)
We quote EXW, FOB, CIF or DDP:
- EXW: you arrange pickup and all freight from our factory.
- FOB: we deliver to the named port in China; you arrange the main freight.
- CIF: we cover sea freight and insurance to your destination port; you handle import clearance and duties.
- DDP: delivered to your door with duties handled, quoted case by case.
Under EXW, FOB and CIF, import duties, taxes and clearance fees in your country are paid by the buyer.
Production Lead Time
Bulk production normally takes 25 to 30 working days after the sample is approved and the deposit is received. Exact timing depends on quantity, complexity and season; we put a clear schedule on the PI and keep you updated through production.
Shipping Methods
- Sea freight: best for full bulk orders, lowest cost with longer transit.
- Air freight: for urgent or medium-volume orders.
- Express courier (DHL, FedEx, UPS, TNT and similar): for samples and small urgent shipments, to most destinations worldwide as long as the courier serves your country.
Your own freight forwarder is welcome. Share their contact details and we coordinate booking, cargo handover and export documents with them. If you do not have one, we arrange shipping through our regular forwarders and quote the options.
Quality Check and Receiving Goods
Every order is checked before it leaves our floor, and you or a third-party inspection company may inspect before shipment. Please examine the goods on arrival and contact us promptly with photos if anything is damaged or incorrect, so we can resolve it quickly.

Can I use my own freight forwarder?
Yes. Send us their details and we coordinate pickup and export documents with them.
Is the sample fee refunded?
Custom sample fees are refunded against your bulk order, and in-stock samples carry no sample fee.
Which shipping method should I choose?
Sea freight for large, non-urgent orders; air or express for smaller or urgent shipments. Tell us your quantity and deadline and we will recommend one.
Who pays customs duties?
It depends on the Incoterm. Duties are included under DDP; under EXW, FOB and CIF the buyer pays import duties and clearance.
