WATERPROOFING

RF-WELDED SEAMS THAT STOP LEAKS IN WATERSPORTS BAGS

The client used waterproof fabric and zippers but the bags still leaked — every sewn seam left tiny needle holes that seam tape could not cover for long. We switched the main seams to RF (high-frequency) welding, which melts the TPU layers together so there are no holes to leak through. Their watersports bags finally stayed dry in real use.

MAGNETIC HARDWARE

RUST-PROOF MAGNETS FOR A MAGNETIC WATER BOTTLE HOLDER

The client's magnetic water bottle holders kept losing grip in gyms — the cheap magnets inside rusted from sweat and humidity, then weakened. We switched to stronger neodymium magnets with nickel plating to resist rust, and sealed them inside the fabric panel so sweat never reaches the metal. Holders still snap on firmly after months of daily use.

ZIPPER SELECTION

MATCHING THE RIGHT WATERPROOF ZIPPER TO EACH DRY BAG

Waterproof fabric was wasted on the wrong zipper — a normal coated zipper lets water through the teeth, while a fully airtight one costs more than most bags need. We matched each bag to the right zipper: coated waterproof zippers for everyday rain, TPU airtight ones for bags that go in the water, and the correct size for pouches versus duffels.

CYCLING SECURITY

ANTI-THEFT LOCK POINTS FOR SECURE BIKE PANNIERS

Quick-release hooks made the client's bike panniers easy to take off — for the owner, and for anyone else. We built a small steel loop into the rear-rack mount, so a normal U-lock passes through both rack and bag, and used zipper pulls that take a small lock. Riders can park without carrying the pannier inside.
